We are delighted to announce that the PROCare4Life project is live! This exciting new project is funded by the European Commission through the “Horizon 2020” research and innovation programme within ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).
PROCare4Life proposes an integrated scalable and interactive care ecosystem for neurodegenerative diseases which will also be adaptable to other chronic conditions. This ecosystem should benefit all users from patients to caregivers to health professionals. It will find the best actions from both health and social points of view that will improve the quality of life for older people. It will provide a personalised and interactive model through gamification techniques which will support the user to adopt healthy habits, maintain daily routines and follow advice to maintain and improve their health condition.
The consortium, made up of 14 partners from 6 EU countries including Kinetikos – Driven Solutions LDA, Asociacion Parkinson Madrid, Universidad Politenica De Madrid, Universiteit Maastricht, Westfaelische Wilhelmsuniversirtaet Muenster, Casa Di Cura Privata del Policlinico SPA, ATOS SPAIN SA, Stelar Security Technology Law Research UG, Wohlfahrtswerk fur Badenwurttemburg, International Foundation for Integrated Care IFIC, CNS Saude LDA, Siveco Romania SA, Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie ’Carol Davila’ din Bucuresti and Spitalul Universitar de Urgenta Bucuresti. The project is coordinated by Kinetikos – Driven Solutions LDA (Portugal) and was created to ensure full coverage of scientific, technological, clinical and social expertise in order to maximize the chances of success.
The project which kicked off in January 2020 will span over a three year period and the consortia are already working on the development of their respective solutions.
