Campus Neurológico Sénior (CNS)
The CNS - Neurological Campus (www.cnscampus.com) was created to provide an integrative and multidisciplinary approach to patients, relatives and caregivers within its own facilities.
The CNS programmes are mainly specialized in the management of Parkinson's disease and of other movement disorders, welcoming both Portuguese and International Patients. It personalizes its intervention towards the particular difficulties of each Patient under the care of Neurology, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology and Nutrition specialists.
Since its creation, CNS further aims to conciliate its clinical activity of excellence with the conduction of clinical research projects and the training of both health professionals and general public.
The CNS has an Academy Unit, where its multidisciplinary clinical team has been organizing several sessions to train both health professionals and the general public.
The CNS also has a Science Unit, with its own Ethics Committee, that aims to enrol in clinical trials and research projects. In fact, this unit is equipped with several clinical and laboratorial resources and materials. Its highly qualified multidisciplinary team is currently participating in several national and international clinical trials and research projects, and together, they published around one hundred peer-reviewed articles in relevant international journals in the field of movement disorders.
